Dolphins Recap: Week 3 — Buffalo Got Us Again

Man, Dolphins Nation… this one hurt. We went up to Buffalo thinking we could finally flip the script, but the Bills walked out with the W, 31-21, and dropped us to 0-3 on the season. Not the start we wanted.

The defense had been holding it down for a long time — hadn’t let a back crack 100 yards in 36 games — but James Cook went off on us. Josh Allen was slinging too, throwing three touchdowns like it was backyard ball.

On our side, the offense showed flashes, but we couldn’t finish drives when it mattered. And when Buffalo picked off Tua late, it was pretty much game over.

The only silver lining? Jaylen Waddle’s back. Having him on the field again gives us that deep threat we’ve been missing. If him and Tyreek both get rolling, this offense could still be scary.

But let’s be real — if the defense keeps giving up big plays and we don’t protect the ball, it’s gonna be a long season in the 305.

Takeaways from Week 3

  • Turnovers = killers.
  • Defense finally cracked against the run.
  • Waddle’s return is big, but we need more chemistry ASAP.

Next Up

We’re back home at Hard Rock Stadium vs the Jets next week. Division game, must-win. We can’t afford to be 0-4 — not in this AFC East.
